my girlfriend and i have been together for 3 years, 10 months, and 14 days prior to her debut. i was upset that she didn’t allow me to be her escort. according to superstition, it would be bad luck for the boyfriend to be the escort. i felt that reasoning was ridiculous, given how long we’ve been together. it was really tough for me to be at practice watching someone else dance with her, but i didnt know it was a bigger deal to be her last rose. so to make light of the situation, i made a mix of songs that sort of described how i felt about her, with the last song being our song. in the end i had members of the court raise signs to ask her to prom. i look so silly, and not all of the moves i had planned worked out, but the only person i saw during those three minutes was her. the video is below:
